Panasonic's award winning UV curing system, Aicure UJ30/35, is now available in Europe. It is an LED technology based curing system that quickly hardens UV-sensitive resin such as adhesives, ink, and coatings. It is especially suited for precise and high-intensity curing of punctiform or small areas.

The system consists of the impressively compact UJ30/35 controller, which can be equipped with up to 4 independently controlled LED heads. An assortment of LED-head lenses allow you to adapt the curing spot size to the requirements of your individual application.

While UJ30 meets all standard applications, UJ35 supports a UV sensor to calibrate the controller. Also it is possible to program irradiation patterns for a high quality curring.

Besides its high curing power, UJ30/35 offers several additional advantages resulting from our extensive curing experience and from the applied LED technology. Last but not least, because it uses far less energy than conventional lamp systems, UJ30/35 is ecological.

LED technology

Each UJ30/35 LED head is equipped with a high-power UV LED. LED technology means the heads enjoy a lifetime of 20,000 hours on average! Moreover, the LEDs neither require a warm-up nor cooling-off period, nor will frequently switching them on and off shorten their lifetime.

High-power irradiation

Programmable with four independent heads

The four LED heads can be controlled either together or independently via four channels. Up to 15 different curing programs can be stored for each channel, each consisting of 10 individual intensity steps. A 16th program, "easy mode", keeps the intensity stable for the selected emission time.

Easy and quick installation

The extremely compact UJ30/35 controller will be set up either with a complimentary PC software or directly via the controller's well designed front panel. In either case, setting up the UJ30/35 is just a matter of minutes. Being equipped with an RS-232 port and a parallel I/O interface with detachable terminal blocks, it is easy to connect UJ30/35 to an external PLC or PC. The LED heads have a diameter of only 12mm and can be easily secured with an optional jig. The heads' electrical (not fiber) cables can be extended up to 10m, permit a bending radius of 33mm, and can be bent 10,000,000 times or more!

Stable UV intensity

Each UJ30/35 head is equipped with a temperature sensor, which is continuously monitored by the controller, keeping UV irradiation stable within a range of +/- 3%.

Efficient curing without temperature increase

The irradiation beam of the UV LEDs does not include infrared rays, hence the temperature rise of the cured workpieces is minimal. Furthermore, the narrow emission spectrum of 365nm reduces energy absorption at the resin surface.

UV intensity measurement

Using the optional UV sensor, measuring the actual irradiation intensity of a LED head is easy, and the intensity can be calibrated automatically.

Multiple safety features

This product has a function to detect breaks and short-circuiting of the LED head. The LED is automatically turned off if it overheats. Moreover, an emergency stop of UV emission is provided via a signal input on the rear of the controller.
